Sue Le Cash (Wardrobe Supervisor for Special Offer)

Sue Le Cash attended Saint Martin’s School of Art in London specialising in fashion and after graduating she decided her interests lay within the area of designing for theatre and musicals. After work designing for local rep theatre Le Cash successfully applied for a position within ATV as it geared up to become a franchise broadcaster on ITV.

Le Cash was assigned the role of wardrobe supervisor working on such light entertainment productions as the music programme Showtime (1968) and Burt Bacharah and Associates (1972). She progressed to costume designer and by the 1970s she was handling the design chores for a variety of drama products at ATV including the anthology series Thriller (1974), Edward the Seventh (1975) and a live action version of Peter Pan (1976) starring Mia Farrow. She won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design for a Limited Series or a Special for her work on Edward the Seventh (1975). Her episode of Beasts, 'Special Offer', came in the same year as working on the hugely successful and popular The Muppet Show (1976- 1980). Her later credits include sitcom A Sharp Intake of Breath (1978) and quiz show Family Fortunes (1982 – 1983).

Her career took her to work within American television at Buena Vista Home Entertainment, a distribution company owned by The Walt Disney Company and through this connection she was offered a position at Euro Disney. She started work in January 1992, prior to the theme park being opened in April, as the head of the Disneyland Paris Costume Department (1992 – 2011). Her duties included managing a team of dressers and costumers and supervising the production of costumes for all aspects of entertainment within Disneyland including bringing Disney characters to life.
