On this day in 1969 Kneale's The Wednesday Play episode Bam! Pow! Zapp! was broadcast on BBC 1. Now sadly missing from the archives the production featured a cast that included Clive Revill, Pauline Delaney and Robert Powell and focused on the theme of violence in the modern age.
